While professional soccer is still widely viewed as a secondary sport in the United States, the MLS has begun to gain a footing in American culture in recent years. The league has added several new franchises to meet the increased interest and fan base. The 2009 season will be the debut for the league’s newest team: Seattle Sounders FC. Even if you aren’t a soccer fan, this new club may interest you. The Sounders’ colors are not often seen on the pitch, making their jerseys and outerwear are among the most unique in the MLS.  Oh, and did we mention the Microsoft sponsorship?  Check out the XBOX 360 logo on the 2009 jerseys.

Being that this team hasn’t even played a game yet, you have the opportunity to be the among the first to pick up some Sounders FC gear.  And with rumors of top European players transferring to the Seattle club, the Sounders are likely to make some noise in 2009.
