Kanye is back. The ten-time Grammy Award winning musical phenomenon, rapper, producer, and now singer embarks on a new musical journey taking his audience to new heights. Kanye returns with his fourth album, titled 808s & Heartbreak. The album takes a completely different path than the previous three, and clearly focuses on Kanye’s current state of mind. Every song on the album utilizes an “808″ drum, which Kanye feels helps evoke emotions. So far the album has received mixed reviews, but artists such as Lil’ Wayne, and Young Jeezy, who are both featured on the album, have backed Kanye’s new style. West has also announced that his fifth studio album will be released sometime in 2009.
