The God of War series is one of the highest selling Playstation only games to date. The latest installment, God of War III ($60) brings the best of its predecessors and improves in every aspect. Incase you have not played the series before, you become Kratos, a mortal hell-bent on revenge against the gods who betrayed him. Basically you complete obliterate anyone and anything in your path. I have personally been awaiting this game since about a week or two after the first one was released. The Playstation 3 Slim ($300) has been talked and talked about for over a year and has now finally arrived. The Slim comes equipped with a 120 GB hard drive, is 36% lighter and 32% smaller. It also uses 34% less power than the original PS3. And at only $300 this PS3 is a steal.

Put away your DS Lite and get your hands on the new Nintendo DSi ($170). With two 3.25-inch screens and a built-in web browser, this is the best Gameboy to date. The DSi has two cameras, one on the outside and one on the inside. You can download games over Wi-Fi and play music from your SD card. The DSi comes in either black or blue and is available now.

One of the highest anticipated games of the year and sequel to one of the greatest shooters of all time, Gears of War 2 ($59) is not one that will disappoint. We continue on the epic story line of Marcus Fenix, and battle our way through massive and extremely intense levels of the evil Locust Horde. The game has a few new features such as new vehicles, weapons, and a couple different styles of play. This is sure to be a hot item during this holiday season and will definitely make any Xbox 360 owner happy. Just be prepared to feel your heart race!

Warhammer Online is the latest competitor in the race against WoW. Mythic Entertainment announced that they sold over 500,000 copys in their first week on the shelves. War is everywhere in Warhammer Online, the new MMORPG from the creators of Dark Age of Camelot. Based on Games Workshop’s popular Warhammer fantasy war game, WAR features a more PvP type experience versus WoW’s PvE/PvP gameplay.
